I was able to see the Bon Jovi concert thanks to my wonderful sister. We sat in a private box – fully catered with a bar – and watched the action from close up. (The stage was closer than my camera’s perspective.) What a way to see a show.
I was pondering over whether to do a post on the band, but damn if they weren’t one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. I will admit to loving them – only songs from the 80’s and 90’s though.
During “Bed of Roses” some of the Ladies were swooning and looked like they could have passed out. The whole stadium erupted during the “Livin’ on a Prayer” encore. Upon the first notes of the last song “Always” my dear little sister almost fell over due to knees buckling. Sorry R, but it’s true. I’ll admit to feeling elated when my personal favourite “I’ll Be There For You” was belted out. It has secretly been the Bon Jovi song that gets me, and now you all know.
It was a show that was enjoyed by everyone. We all sang along with “Bad Medicine” and “Blaze of Glory”, and the gents may have wiped a single tear away with the latter song. I could see the movie “Young Guns” playing in my head.
Bon Jovi is a true rock band, with the ability to capture the entire stadium and take them along for the ride.
