We went to my Mom’s for Thanksgiving yesterday. I made a fall themed banner for the fireplace out of felt and fabric scraps. The leaves had pockets – everyone wrote things that they were thankful for and put them in the pockets.
Ava decorated various furniture pieces and accessories with green streamers….
She then decorated her Auntie’s feet and legs – Auntie was wrapped like a mummy.
A pre-dinner snack was eaten under the table – Ava didn’t want Daddy and Grampa to share her veggie chips. (They had their own bowl but she was still concerned.)
The table was set with a centerpiece created by Ava and Grandma. Floating candles, cranberries and brussel sprouts in a large bowl brought a fall/food theme to the table. Ava placed the sprouts.
Mmmm turkey, gravy, and potatoes…. I couldn’t fill my plate as I normally would have because I have to eat smaller meals to feel physically comfortable, but seconds were in my future. (PS. There was no alcohol in my wine glass.)
Dessert was a delicious cake to celebrate the nuptials of my sister and her new Husband.
