    Maddie’s Pillows

I had never embroidered before, but I had the urge to try it recently. I drew some simple flowers, and Ava drew a scene on paper – which I transferred onto fabric.

Before I could start stitching, I had to untangle the gigantic knot that Ava had made with the thread  when she was 2. I had been cutting what I needed from the edges over the years, but this time I figured I would work to separate the colours.

Once the thread was ready, I chose my colours and started stitching….

After several evenings of stitching here and there the pillows were ready to be sewn and stuffed.

    Here’s my completed pillow…

    …and Ava’s “Mommy & baby kitty”….
The crib is now ready for whenever Maddie chooses to arrive.
(Everything will be removed from the crib once she’s here.)

Thanks. We all have something we enjoy…I'm sure my Husband would love it if I took an interest in cooking.
